Past Public Engagement Grant Recipients
Each year the Office of Public Engagement conducts a grant process for faculty, students, and staff to fund community-related projects, scholarly work, creative endeavors, course development and other activities within the broad framework of public engagement. Peer reviewers read and evaluated the proposals based on four criteria:
- likelihood of a positive impact;
- potential for sustainability of the project;
- the extent to which the proposal includes a community project;
- over-all rating. The reviewers gave their evaluation scores based on the four criteria.
The scores were then averaged and a short list was developed from this process. The Office of Public Engagement then made funding decisions based on the criteria and the desire to fund initiatives that reflected the diversity of engagement conducted by the campus.
